Thesis of Social Science
foreword: This book is written to try and address the left wing movements of the 20th century. I must tell you something about the writers background: I am someone who shares ideals with Christians but who is also a Socialist in the meaning of the term which is a basic belief in society.
I do not believe in society at all costs like a Marxist socialist, or community as underpinning our beliefs like a communist (I know that those that use communism have a near religious zeal for the command economy but their goal is to create a community that is strong enough to weather the storm of events- the command economy is just a way of doing this).
I search for a beautiful country in my beliefs and put less emphasis on poor freedoms than freedoms for the vast majority- in that sense I have some right wing beliefs. Worshiping the Son of God is also a strong influence but I am by no means a religious fanatic believing in the understating of my strongly held religious beliefs.
My ideas have been brought about by much deliberation and have been aired on various websites on the internet prior to this publication. I did deliberate on whether to write this book at all but felt I owed it to future generations if by some miracle I am right about my beliefs.
I am a graduate in physics attaining a 2.1(hons) from a red brick university and have a hnd in software engineering. I am also a semi-accomplished chess player playing for my county, in various leagues and weekend competitions, I have run a business for a number of years just self employed though.
Chapter 1: The essence of control
I have found that in my studies in physics there is a term such as energy which is measured by the Joule, named after a famous physicist. Energy it is said in the physics of Newtonian Mechanics, (1) to be conserved. That is the sum of energy in any system is equal to 0 but this energy thus takes different forms basically as potential energy and kinetic energy.
Although Einstein redefined energy in his famous equation E=mc2, he did not change the basic premise that the sum of energy is equal to 0.
Alright we have a premise that energy is conserved in Science which has much empirical evidence to back it up, now I am going to make a leap of logic here.
Conservation of Control Law
I am going to state that controlling any event takes energy- it takes energy to change its direction, thus as energy is conserved does that not mean control is conserved too.
For example if we conduct our lives constantly controlling such a thing as an apple we would in turn be controlled by such a thing as the weather, or in politics, the police.
This is the reason why command economies become subject to outside interference and thus become subject to invasion. Such as the Soviet Union in World War II.
This idea has significant repercussions in politics such as signifying that the extreme left wing ideologies are wrong in trying to achieve a control of their environment just for the poor and explaining why they are thus inefficient in not sharing control as happens in a democracy.
This idea on its own also has repercussions for the right wing ideologies as it means that some control over the individual is a result of an individual's freedoms which creates the idea of control of our lives coming at a cost. It is this idea which underpins the belief system of the communist that freedom comes at expense.
There is another factor which can be assumed by the conservation of energy laws as well though which suggests the right are right in their outlook.
(1)first put forward by Isaac Newton in his work principia in 1687,
Chapter 2 Positivistic and Negativity
I would also say that there is another force acting in our lives to do with energy other than just control and that is to do with feeling positive or negative due to energy flows. We feel positive when energy is coming towards our body and negative when energy is moving away. I would define this as good times and bad times.
Theory of energy flows:
What makes a bad time is the expense in energy term thus energy flows away from you and you feel emotionally cold. When things are good we define them as such because they are inexpensive in energy terms thus energy flows into the region of your body.
Conservation of good bad times:
As how we feel can be put down to energy flows and energy is conserved then the good times must equate to the bad times exactly in our lifetimes. But as the bad times are more expensive then the good times must be longer while the bad times must be sharper and less long.
What these theories actually state (politically) is that even though we are all equal in death we are not equal in life and relying on equality is prone to accepting misery and corruption. I will elucidate : because the universe is predicted to be infinite and the good times equal the bad times we will be forever in corruption and misery until we accept Gods will to be equal instead or relying on equality as a communist does.
Chapter 3 Physics of Elements
This chapter is an explanation of matter itself but is a complete hypothesis based on little empirical evidence.
I hypothesize that: The theory of elements:
The three elements of liquid, gas and solid are all differing views of matter in that one element is infinite one finite and one the essence of nothingness.
I also hypothesize that: The theory of Expansion:
The universe natural expansion is due to matter expanding into the distance between nothing and infinity. I put it that nothingness is an uncertain concept (because it is too small) and thus things try to exist in the finite.
As I said there is little evidence of these theories just basic common sense but it fits with what we see around us.
This chapter is just an extension of physical philosophy.
Chapter 4 the four main states of political mind
I put it that there are four main states of political mind, the first is conservative this is the state of being in a beautiful country (some would say they’re in a state of heaven) and experiencing a beautiful world about them.
The next state is being in a beautiful country (heaven) but this time experiencing a kind of hell (ugly) in the world about them, this is a liberal.
The next state is being in an ugly country but experiencing a kind of beautiful world about them this is the state of political thought known as libertarianism.
The final state is where both the country of being and the world of experiencing are both ugly, this is a communist state of mind.
I have experience a state of being which is blessed in my personal life but in which the future experiences itself as ugly and hellish. This is the liberal state of mind and I thus have come to realize not everyone experiences life such as this way, thus I came to understand this philosophy.
It explains why 1- conservatives blame other people for their problems.
2-liberals think they know so much as they live in heaven but see ugliness in others.
3-libertarians attempt to find god in order to be blessed.
4-communists are seen as evil.
Chapter 5 The question of political state
In this chapter I will discus a political motivated question which can accurately estimate political state.
The question is this:
What do you think of the poor?
Answer 1-conservative answers ‘they are responsible for their own problems’
2-liberal answers ‘they are unlucky’
3-libertarian answers ‘they are possessed by an evil’
4-communist answers ‘they are heroes’
Chapter 6 Control and freedom map (i.e. the political map)
| Control -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------freedom | |||||
|
Religious (force from above) |
Catholicism |
|
|
|
Protestantism |
|
Realist (on the level) |
socialism |
|
LIBERAL |
|
capitalism |
|
Criminal (force from below) |
communism |
|
|
|
fascism |
This map aides with the explanation of where the different political beliefs stand for example communism tries to control the criminal element of the country or world where as fascism tries to give freedom to criminals.
Socialism tries to control the majority while capitalism tries to give freedom to the majority. Liberalism is a half way house for the majority.
In the religious sphere Catholicism tries to control our morality while Protestantism tries to give freedoms to induce morality.
Chapter 7 Some Questions:
1) Does political will wilt under the pressure of selfishness to let down the left wing in a country and does this cause the problem of communism?
Good will abounds with the end of communism in the soviet union and the west seems adamant it won’t let communism return by its internal policies of being pro-left wing, but how long can public opinion be kept going in this direction, until we have a return to near fascism that occurred in the 1930’s etc.
Already the signs are there that public opinion is turning right wing. Although there is much to be said for this it does beg the question of another Hitler and going too far.
Fascism creates an ugly country where poor and disadvantaged are ‘put away from sight’. Have we not moved away permanently from such a course?
We must always be determined to help the poor, even if that means allowing a little communism maybe but only if it can be contained like the energy of a nuclear power station.
2) Does democracy always survive extreme right wing or extreme left wing ideological pushes?
It has so far but is the end of the world as we know it on the cards at any moment- it seems we are struggling fiercely with maintaining democracy. With every new generation struggling ever more.
